    在水消防系統中,低壓開關一般設置在消防泵出水管上。當流量開關失效時,水消防系統繼續依靠水箱和穩壓泵提供水量和水壓滅火,穩壓泵不及時補水會導致系統壓力下降。或僅依靠消防水箱靜水壓力滅火,水箱水位下降,消防泵出水壓力開關感應壓力下降,壓力開關動作。當流量開關失效時,無論消防水箱是否設置穩壓泵,供水過程中的壓力都會下降,壓力開關的設置就是基于這一基本原理。

    手動啟泵功能應設置在消防控制室或消防泵房。為保證消防控制室啟動泵的可靠性,采用硬拉線直接啟動消防泵,可盡量減少干擾和風險。在情況下,由于聯動控制存在失效的可能性,如軟件受病毒侵害等危險,導致弱電信號總線無法移動。由此可見,手動直接啟泵是消防啟泵必不可少的防線。消防控制室的手動控制盤設置在消防控制室的消防聯動控制器上。
